I must say i like this ones more than any other i have, they are confortable, is not a common one, so everybody will be telling you about them and the cool they look. These are lightweight shoes. I have the 7/8 and each shoe has a weight of 7.3oz . They are Made in Vietnam, so at the current starting price of sixty-five bucks, they are quite expensive for such a simple sort of shoe. I do not show anywhere what the upper part is made of. It has a cloth look/feel to it. There is a tiny bit of stretch. One would hope that they will dry reasonably quickly if they get wet. The bottom rubber sole is non-skid. It has the Sanuk logo running all over the bottom. I like the green tag in the back, which makes it easier to slip-on. These are super casual shoes.

I love Chucks. This was my first weatherized pair. They keep my feet dry and warm. These like most Chucks do not have ANY arch support. I recommend the arch supports sold by Dr. Sholl's . I use the Dr Sholl's in all my Chucks.
That being said I do not go trekking through deep snow or very cold temperature in them.
For about 6 inches or less of snow and 20-30 degrees F they are fine.
Unless you hate the color purple these are a good version of Chucks.

Classics. They go with practically everything casual and are very comfortable. They're on the snug side of "fit as expected" without socks, so with socks you might want to go up a half size...at least in my experience with 10.5 M. I have other Vans classics, and these run just slightly smaller than the lace-ups in my experience.
